Accommodation
The Bedford Tourist Information has plenty of information on accommodation,
such as Guest Houses B&B, Hotels, etc. Their website is: www.visitbedford.co.uk
Host family accommodation is provided through an experienced local
agent for approximately £17.50 per day and this includes meals
and laundry.
Social activities
There is plenty to see and do in Bedford, for example sport centres,
bowling, music festivals, museums, galleries, theatres and restaurants.
Teachers at the school can advise you on all of this.
We can also advise you on visiting places of interest in Britain,
such as Cambridge, Oxford, London and Brighton.
If you would like to visit any of these places, please speak to
a teacher at Larkhill who can help you plan your trip.
Here is a 'Sample Social
Programme' for the Summer course. This is a suggested itinerary
and is not included in the course fee. We do not run these activities,
but you may want to try them yourselves. A teacher can help you
plan an activity/ trip.
During the Summer course we organise a social afternoon at a local
traditional pub, or a picnic by the river and a visit to the John
Bunyan museum & library.
