Larkhill Language Centre offers English courses to people of all
levels from elementary to advanced.
You will be placed in the appropriate class according to your level of English.
General English courses
The General English courses are held from September to June. However
you can start and finish in any month.
The courses are designed to improve all of the following skills:
This is an interactive course which allows you to practice all the above skills,
including idioms, colloquial and formal language.
The focus of the course is to learn the functions of the English language so
that you can apply them to practical situations.
We aim to improve your ability to communicate effectively in real life situations.
The classes are interesting and stimulating and include exercises, discussions
and small-group activities.
You can choose to attend from 2 to 15 hours a week depending on availability.
English Summer Course: 14 July - 1 August 2008
Larkhill Language Centre offers a three-week intensive English summer course.
The course consists of 15 hours of English lessons per week for a total of 3
weeks. The total cost is £350.
The course is aimed at anyone who wishes to improve their English language skills
in the following areas:
speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.
Classes are small with a maximum of 4 or 7 students and you will be placed in
the appropriate class according to your level.
On completion of the course you will receive a letter of attendance.
To reserve a place you will need to contact us, then complete the application
form and return it via email or post with £15 administration fee.
You will then receive confirmation from us. Please note that the minimum age
of attendance is 16 and there is no maximum age.

Business English course
English is the language of business and the course is designed to improve the following skills:
Please note that the Business English course is offered once per week and is combined with the General English course.
Qualifications
Examinations are not compulsory, however there are many different exams available.
It can be difficult to know which is the best for you. You can discuss this
with your teacher before making a decision.
